There’s been a lot going on this week in gaming, including Gamescom going on right now! At that very show was Yoshi-P, who went on Opening Night Live yesterday to talk about Final Fantasy XIV and a certain collaboration it was getting with Monster Hunter Wilds. However, that wasn’t the only thing about the game he had on his mind. Specifically, when he chatted with VGC, he admitted that he’d love the MMORPG to come over to the Nintendo Switch 2, and even teased that there had been “discussions” with Nintendo to make it happen.
He went so far as to note that due to the “playstyle” that the Nintendo Switch 2 offers, it could allow for casual players to enjoy the title in a way that dedicated PC gamers wouldn’t:
It’s fair to see why Yoshi-P would think that, especially given how the OG Switch changed how people played games in general, and the Switch 2 and its games are building upon that.
