Blue Protocol: Star Resonance Closed Beta Test Starts Today, Full Release in October

Japanese publisher A Plus has announced that the closed beta test for Blue Protocol: Star Resonance starts today, on August 22, and revealed the planned release window for the game. The free-to-play MMORPG is currently in development for PC and mobile devices (Android and iOS), and it's expected to hit those platforms in October, though a more specific date was not mentioned.

A New Dive Into the Blue Protocol World

Originally, Blue Protocol was an online action RPG project by Bandai Namco that came out in Japan in 2023 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and its western release through Amazon Game Studios was ultimately canceled along with the closure of the Japanese server. The IP was licensed to Chinese developer Shanghai Bokura Network Technology Co. Ltd. for the development of a new game.

Blue Protocol: Star Resonance is a new MMORPG set in the same universe that was featured in the previous game.
