Looks like the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection is getting even bigger. During Gamescom 2025, it was spotted that Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero and Mortal Kombat: Special Forces are being added to the collection. Both of these are spin-offs that took the series away from its traditional fighting roots, and it is pretty wild to see them included.
Although adding in Mythologies and Special Forces does make the collection feel more complete. Mythologies was an action-adventure game on the PlayStation that gave Sub-Zero his own story, while Special Forces put Jax in the lead role for a 3D action game.
They may not have been the most beloved entries in the franchise, but including them gives players the chance to experience the full history of Mortal Kombat, the good and the bad. With both these games being added, there’s hope that Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, the best spin-off, well, at least IMHO, will be added as well.
