Discounty is a new cozy game on Steam with charming pixel-art visuals and addictive gameplay that could easily appeal to Stardew Valley fans. Steam already hosts plenty of Stardew Valley-like titles, so fans of the genre may not be surprised to see another one appear. Still, Discounty is quickly gaining traction in the cozy game community thanks to its unique take on the simulation formula.

While Stardew Valley wasn't the first cozy game, it was one of the first to popularize the genre. ConcernedApe's farming sim has inspired hundreds of titles, many of which are now genre classics with thousands of fans. Discounty now appears to be on its way to joining that very same group, having already earned a "Mostly Positive" review score on Steam.

Developed by Crinkle Cut Games, Discounty replicates the experience of running a discount supermarket. It's a story-driven sim with pixel graphics set in the fictional town of Blomkest.
