Upcoming Steam Game Is Like Realistic Minecraft with Co-Op and Procedural Generation

Everwind is an upcoming sandbox survival game on Steam that appears to draw direct inspiration from Minecraft's voxel visuals. However, the similarities between the two titles don't mean Everwind is a mere copycat. If anything, it looks poised to become a popular sandbox indie game on Steam in its own right.

As a staple in the sandbox genre, Minecraft has inspired many indie games on Steam. However, few have brought anything new to the table, and most have fallen flat in sales and popularity. Everwind, on the other hand, seems to have a real chance to elevate the genre and breathe new life into it with its innovative ideas.

Previously titled SkyVerse, Everwind is being developed by Enjoy Studio and will be released by the publisher of DayZ, Bohemia Interactive. The gameplay focuses on exploration, crafting, foraging, farming, spellcasting, and combat in a vast voxel world. According to the developer, all maps and islands are procedurally generated, giving players something new to discover on each run.
