"Not Much Good Is Going On": FFXIV Fans Battle It Out As MMO Gets Review Bombed

Final Fantasy 14 fans appear to be locked in a virtual battle for the game's review score, as the popular MMO is being review-bombed by some, and others are adding a lot of recent positive reviews. A popular mod called Mare Synchronos was recently removed for violating the game's ToS. The mod allowed players to see what other mods other players were using, and proved to be one of the most popular mods for the game; its removal has sparked controversy.

Over on Steam, the game's recent review score segment has dropped to "mixed," with a lot of negative reviews being aimed at the mod's removal. Other recent reviews are positive and seem to be aimed at balancing out the negative ones. In a Reddit post by Zelphkiel, fans are debating the mod's removal, with mixed reception from fans. Luc- even responded with: "Not much good is going on with FFXIV."

Mods in FFXIV have, essentially, always had shaky acceptance among fans and the developers. Some fans enjoy being able to mod new Glamour sets or change things they don't like, like not being able to wear certain headgear as Viera or Hrothgar races, and a lot more. Square...
