Pokémon Officially Teases More New Mega Evolution Reveals For August 28

New Mega Evolutions have officially been teased for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, with the full reveal set for August 28. So far, the revealed Mega Evolutions for Z-A have seen a mixed reception, especially the most recent Mega Victreebel design reveal, which spawned an internet meme to help fans "cope" with the design. 2025 has been the year for Mega Evolution comebacks, and more are on the way.

According to a post from the official Pokémon X account, Mega Evolutions for Machamp and Hawlucha have been teased and will be fully revealed on August 28. A brief video clip was also posted to the official Pokémon YouTube account, teasing the announcement.

Machamp is a Generation One Pokémon, along with the previously revealed Mega Dragonite, so it seems like Z-A will include both classic Pokémon getting new Mega Evolutions, and more modern Pokémon like Hawlucha, which was introduced in Generation Six. Mega Evolutions have seemingly dominated much of the 2025 Pokémon conversation, so another two confirmations aren't that surprising.
