Electronic Arts has announced that Skate will launch in early access on September 16 on all platforms. Announced in 2020, Skate is a free-to-play sequel to the long-dormant skateboarding franchise that saw its last mainline entry over 15 years ago. It’s set to be a full reboot for the series, and is being developed by Full Circle, a studio established by EA to helm the game’s development.
While not currently available to the public, fans have gotten glimpses at what the game has to offer from trailers, leaks, and pre-alpha gameplay footage shared by Skate playtesters. As the game’s release approaches, even more details regarding the title are being gradually shared with fans, including Skate’s content model, customization options, and the 100+ songs that are confirmed to be featured at launch.
