We do see a number of returning faces, including Kyo Kusanagi and Mai Shiranui. At the end of the trailer, it is stated that more information will be released next week.
"We're focusing on keeping the series staple of being fast-paced while also adding elements to make it more exciting," stated creative director Eisuke Ogura (via GameSpot). "We're able to do things now for both sound and visuals that were impossible back when [we] were developing XIV."
SNK has also revealed The King of Fighters 2002 Unlimited Match for the PlayStation 4 (via PlayStation LifeStyle). The game is an updated version of the 2009 title, and features 66 fighters, the series' largest roster ever. Online play will be improved due to a new rollback new code. Offline modes include a Challenge Mode, a Practice Mode, and a Endless Mode, which has players see how long they can last in an arena.
