Hitman 3 launches worldwide on every platform you'd expect and maybe a few you wouldn't expect. With the final countdown here, IO Interactive is taking players on a tour of Agent 47's last hurrah.
With six levels in the game at launch, just like the previous two games, IO has decided to lift the veil and show players where each mission will take place. The guide is, as they promised, spoiler-free, so unless even the locations are considered sensitive information ahead of the launch, you should be safe to check out each of them.
The first is Dubai, United Arab Emirates, which takes place in a skyscraper as seen in the reveal trailer earlier this year. "Experience the grandeur and decadence of Dubai at the opening ceremony of the tallest building in the world. Join an excited crowd to witness the breath-taking scenery and explore the top floors of this exquisite building – both inside and out."
Second comes a gloomy castle in Dartmoor, United Kingdom, in what sounds like a level inspired by Clue. "Travel to the historic Thornbridge Manor in Dartmoor for a mission with a murder mystery twist. Choose your own path to your objectives or take on the role of detective to solve a murder and eliminate your target. Two birds, one disguise."
Then it's off to Berlin, Germany for the barcoded assassin, who can infiltrate a good old fashioned Euro-dance rave. "Head to the outskirts of Berlin, a city known for its fairytales, vibrant style and chaotic nightlife. Whether you’re looking for a place to reflect and recuperate or want to experience the dizzying adrenaline rush of an epic rave, Berlin will help you find both of those things and everything in between."
Following Berlin, The Bald One will head to Chongqing, China amid the neon-soaked nightlife. "Under the flickering neon lights of busy cafes and amidst a flurry of small shops and food stands crammed into tight streets, Chongqing offers travellers a respite from the demands of everyday life. This megacity is a transportation hub with plenty of secrets off the beaten path."
The penultimate episode takes Agent 47 to wine country in Argentina, and yes, if anyone asks, those are totally wine stains. "As one of the most well-known wine regions in South America, Mendoza is the perfect place to take in the beautiful sights and acquired tastes of Argentina. From the sloping hills to the modern vineyards, there’s plenty of opportunity to explore."
The last level of Hitman 3 doesn't come with the teaser the rest come with, but we know it takes place in the Carpathian Mountains, Romania. This just so happens to be the birthplace of Count Dracula, so maybe Agent 47 will be equipped with a stake and some garlic for this grand finale.
Previous Hitman games since the 2016 reboot have offered more levels and other live-service content in the months following launch, so we can expect something similar for what is billed as Agent 47's last game for a while, according to IO Interactive.
