Amazon's foray into the gaming market has been an interesting journey, to say the least. Although they have greenlit numerous projects, some of them never even reach the market. Thankfully, they've been lying in wait with March of Giants, and this one should make a splash as soon as the closed alpha session.
ScreenRant was invited to check out the debut of a brand-new title from Amazon Games Montreal, and I never could have predicted what was behind the curtain when everything was said and done. March of Giants is a free-to-play 4v4 "War MOBA" that is currently exclusive to PC. It has werewolves, titular giants, and a lot more wackiness. There's already a lot of potential just in that premise alone.
Although Amazon Games is now mainly known for its few stable live service titles (like Lost Ark and New World), on top of its free giveaways for Prime Gaming members, it also still publishes projects outside the MMO realm. March of Giants is led by Creative Director Xavier Marquis, who, along with other team members, worked on Rainbow Six Siege.
Amazon promises to "disrupt" the MOBA genre, and the game certainly looks unique...
