Roblox has been the subject of ongoing controversy surrounding child safety concerns, and a recent petition dealing with the subject has just surpassed an enormous milestone. With children making up a significant portion of the popular online game's user base, a focus on community-driven content comes with risks involving privacy and age-appropriate interactions. Earlier this month, the Louisiana Attorney General sued Roblox over these concerns.

A Change.org petition to remove Roblox CEO David Baszucki, started three weeks ago, has now crossed 250,000 signatures. The petition places the blame for Roblox's perceived lack of action on Baszucki, who is "ultimately responsible for the safety and integrity of the platform." Stated concerns include slow responses to reports of abuse, lack of action against dangerous content, and alleged bans for users who have raised concerns.

Roblox has been under David Baszucki's stewardship for 20 years, as the CEO was also one of the platform's co-founders.
