Xbox Live Gold members will be able to check out three titles for free throughout this weekend.
On the Xbox Wire, it was revealed that this weekend will be a Free Play Days event. Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members will be able to try out three games this weekend for free. The games are Star Wars: Squadrons, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and Yooka-Laylee. The event starts today, January 14th, and will last through Sunday, January 17th.
The first free game is Star Wars: Squadrons. Squadrons is a first-person flight-simulator that allows players to pilot the X-wing, TIE Fighter, and more in multiplayer space combat. Gamers can customize their loadouts and divert power between their engines, weapons, and shields, all while learning what it means to be a starfighter in the Star Wars universe.
Dragon Ball FighterZ allows players to experience epic fights, destructible stages, and famous moments from the Dragon Ball franchise. Players will engage in intense 3v3 fights inspired by the classic series. The game offers a large roster of fan-favorite characters from the franchise's long history, as players duke it out to see who is the best in the Dragon Ball world.
Yooka-Laylee has players take control of buddy-duo Yooka and Laylee, as they embark on an epic quest to thwart corporate creep Capitol B. Players will explore beautiful worlds, meet an unforgettable cast of characters, and horde a number of collectables in this platformer.
Those who want to keep any of the three games can purchase them at a discount this weekend. If players decide to keep the games, their Gamerscore and achievements earned during the event will transfer over. Star Wars: Squadrons will be 40% off, costing gamers $23.99. Yooka-Laylee will be 75% off, running for $9.99. However, Dragon Ball FighterZ will not be available at a discount.
