After one heck of a development cycle that saw the game go from an independent project to part of Sony's China Hero Program, Lost Soul Aside is now out on PC and PlayStation 5. Unfortunately, its initial response has resembled its rough dev cycle, as the game currently sits on Steam with a "Mixed" rating, largely due to performance issues, as well as its story pacing and combat.

What's more, in the hours since its release, the game has quickly devolved into a meme, with players sharing some rather hilarious instances of what happens in-game, most of which aren't bug-related at all.

Over on Twitter, one user called the title "unintentionally one of the funniest games of the year," before sharing a clip that showcases the player character running around the map before a cutscene involving a kid getting kicked out of nowhere starts.

We're not joking or exaggerating.

In another video shared online, the character falls off a cliff, not before screaming hilariously all the way down.
