A new trailer has been released for Persona 5 Strikers, showing off the the game's combat.
A new trailer has been dropped for Persona 5 Strikers. Entitled the All-Out Action Trailer, it gives us a good glimpse at what to expect from the game's combat. In the trailer, we see the hordes of enemies that are found in musou type titles. However, there is a heavy Persona 5 flair in the combat. The trailer shows Joker summon his Persona Arsene, and then use a number of attacks that can be found in Persona 5. We also see characters tagging in and out of battle, similar to how players were able to tag into each other in Persona 5's combat system. We also see that there will be some exploration of the game's dungeons. There will also be new elements in combat, which is shown through Joker riding a skateboard through a crowd of enemies.
Persona 5 Strikers was given a February 2021 release date last month. It was also announced then that there will be two versions of the game. There will be a standard version of the game, as well as a Digital Deluxe version. The Digital Deluxe edition comes with the game, a digital artbook, the game's soundtrack, behind the scenes videos, legacy soundtracks featuring music from past Persona titles, and in-game items. Those who purchase the Digital Deluxe version will also be able to play the game four days early.
Persona 5 Strikers is a musou type-title, characterized by the droves of enemies that will fill the screen for players to take out. However, Strikers will feature team based combat, elemental affinities, and special attacks that take out massive amounts of enemies at once. The social aspect that is featured in Persona titles will be present in Strikers as well, as players will be able to explore Japan with other members of the Phantom Thieves. Strikers takes place after the original Persona 5, and will introduce new characters that will be integral to the new game's story.
Persona 5 Strikers will release on February 23rd for PC, PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch.
