Kingdom Hearts fans were hoping to get even the smallest glimpse of Kingdom Hearts 4 in the recently released Art Museum cards, but those hopes have just been dashed entirely.

As I am constantly reminded whenever I think about the series (which is every day, really), it's been a really long time since Kingdom Hearts 4 was revealed. We're approaching the four-year mark since its first and only trailer at the 20th anniversary event, and all we've seen from the long-awaited sequel since is a batch of screenshots that felt like an apology more than anything.

With Square Enix remaining silent about Sora's next big adventure, fans have been begging for any drip of news to show up pretty much everywhere we go. While it's normal to hope it gets a new trailer at Gamescom or The Game Awards, one of the latest things that fans pinned hopes on was a set of trading cards.
