Sonic 4 Is So Far Away That Sega Isn't Even Bothering With Movie-Based DLC For Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 isn't coming out until March 2027, so we're in for a long ol' wait to see Amy and Metal Sonic make their cinematic debuts. In fact, it's so far away that Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds won't even have the chance to collaborate with the film, as the devs aren't planning to keep the content coming for that long.

That is, at least, according to Sonic Team head Takashi Iizuka, who says that there are no plans for movie characters or anything from the Sonic films to make their way into Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. He says that this is because there are no films to collaborate with, as Sonic 3 premiered last year, and Sonic 4 won't be with us for some time.

As spotted by Sonic City, Iizuka was asked about this in an interview with the Chinese outlet UCG, and told us not to expect anything anytime soon.
