Six days later, longtime Nintendo insider NateTheHate—whose 2025 scoops include leaking the Switch 2 announcement date—backed this possibility in a social media post. "Yes, there is a Nintendo Direct in September," he wrote on X, formerly Twitter. Elaborating on this claim, the leaker said the event is planned to take place during the second week of next month, so between September 8 and 14. He narrowed that down further to "on or around" the 11th or 12th, so Thursday or Friday.
