Xbox Game Pass has arguably had its strongest year yet, with several strong day-one releases, like Game of the Year frontrunner Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, indie hits like Blue Prince, and the third entry in the rebooted DOOM trilogy, DOOM: The Dark Ages. Even with just a few months left in 2025, there is still plenty left for the service, and September 4 may be one of the biggest days of the year for the popular subscription service.

Joining a stacked 2025 Game Pass roster, Hollow Knight: Silksong will be available on September 4 as a day-one Game Pass title. Silksong is one of the most anticipated games of the year, and Game Pass subscribers will get to play it day one at no additional charge.
