One of the biggest questions of the gaming industry over the last few years was “When would Nintendo release its new console?” By all accounts and reports, it would be released sometime in 2024, but The Big N didn’t do that. Instead, they waited until 2025 to fully unveil and release the Nintendo Switch 2, and it worked out quite well for them. However, even with the sales success it’s had on both the hardware and software side, many people still wonder, “Why did they wait so long to release it?” The answer may come in a new report from Bloomberg.
The site talked with people “close” to Nintendo, and according to their sources, the teams making their exclusive titles asked for more time to get them done, and done right:
