New Xbox Update is Causing Some Headaches

Some participants of the Xbox Insiders program have recently discovered that their console has suddenly stopped working after the latest update. The Xbox Insiders program is a fairly useful initiative that grants Xbox owners early access to new features, but it’s prone to bugs, and this seems to be one of the worst ones in recent memory.

The Xbox Series X/S was released in November 2020, and recent estimates indicate that it may have sold over 30 million units so far. Every year, the Xbox receives numerous updates, but not all of them work properly from the start.

Starting on September 2, multiple gamers who are a part of Xbox Insiders have received a 0x8B050033 error when booting their console (spotted by Pure Xbox). After turning on the device, users were reportedly not able to update their console or access it to play games. Multiple gamers have gone to social media to complain about the issue, and there seems to be a quick way to fix the problem. Players should sign in to the Microsoft account they use for Xbox Insiders, launch the Xbox Insider Hub, go to “Settings,” then “Manage Devices,” and remove them from the program. This process...
