A PlayStation State of Play solely dedicated to 007 First Light has finally given us our first look at IO Interactive's new James Bond in action. IOI is fresh off the success of the Hitman: World of Assassination trilogy, but 007 First Light appears to be both more narrative-focused and action-heavy.
Showcasing specific segments from Bond's first mission as a 00, PlayStation's 007 First Light State of Play provides a broad overview of what to expect from the spy thriller. One half of the game is spy craft and espionage, with the gameplay footage starting with Bond infiltrating a posh Slovakian hotel alongside numerous other 00s. The latter half cut forward to show the mission's inevitable escalation, giving a glimpse at the game's car chases and larger, more bombastic shootouts.
The 007 First Light State of Play seems to be set up to show two distinct sides of the game: stealth and action. The former comes first as Bond infiltrates the hotel in a joint task with other agents. These sections appear to utilize IOI's Hitman legacy, containing social stealth situations that let players choose how they work toward their next objective. Bond is seen chatting with...
