007 First Light has revealed its main cast, headlined by Patrick Gibson who plays James Bond in the game. The James Bond games preceding 007 First Light involved popular actors from the movies, such as Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig, providing their respective likenesses for the legendary spy.
As soon as 007 First Light was unveiled in June, sections of James Bond fans started speculating about who was starring as the iconic hero in the game. While there was no official confirmation at the time, people on the internet started connecting the dots by themselves and came up with possible names that were perceived to be resembling the character shown in the trailer. This player interest further grew when a 007 First Light dev suggested IO Interactive was deliberately withholding the actor's name, so that fans "care about the game first."
