Helldivers 2 had a huge launch on PS5 and PC, and it looks like it might be having just as big a release on Xbox. The PlayStation-published third-person shooter arrived on Xbox Series X|S last week, and it has managed to sell close to one million copies in its new home.
It has probably sailed past the one million sold mark actually, since the numbers shared by The Alinea Insight only account for the game's first six days on Xbox, at which point the port had sold 926,000 copies. An impressive number all by itself that's made even more impressive when you compare it to the 633,000 copies it sold during its first six days on PS5.
PlayStation finally deciding to put Helldivers 2 on Xbox was likely fueled by a desire to squeeze a little bit more money out of its (sort of) live service hit, while also giving Xbox something back as it continues to port most of its biggest console exclusives to PS5.
