Pokémon Sword and Shield's next Max Raid Battle event will put players against Cramorant.

Pokémon Sword and Shield are beginning a new Max Raid Battle event next week. The event begins on February 3rd, at 4:00 p.m. PST. The event will end on February 8th. According to Serebii, players will be battling against Cramorants in Max Raid dens. The Cramorants will be level 100. If enough of the Flying-type Pokémon are defeated, all players will receive items. If 500,000 Cramorants are defeated, players will receive a Flame Orb, Toxic Orb, and Light Ball. If 1,000,000 Cramorants are defeated, players will be rewarded with a Gold Bottle Cap, 3 Bottle Caps, and 3 Pearl Strings.

Cramorant will not be the only Pokémon that players will run into in Max Raid dens during the event. It has also been revealed that gamers can encounter Quagsire,  Golurk, Flygon, and Indeedee during this time. It was also revealed that the gifts that will be given out for defeating enough Cramorant will be distributed between February 10th to February 28th. More details will be provided when the event goes live.

Pokémon Sword and Shield is in the midst of a Max Raid event at the moment (via GameSpot). Through January 31st, a number of Normal- and Dragon-type Pokemon will appear in Max Raid dens across the Wild Area, Isle of Armor, and Crown Tundra. The Pokémon that players can run into are Bewear, Cinccino, Snorlax, Haxorus, Goodra, and Duraludon. Gamers will also run into the Gigantamax versions of Snorlax and Duraludon. Since Gigantamax versions of Pokémon are hard to come by, players should try to encounter them before the event ends this weekend. If players catch a Snorlax or Durlaudon during the event, they can also unlock their Gigantamax forms at the Max Dojo if they have access to the Isle of Armor expansion.

Pokémon Sword and Shield is available now for the Nintendo Switch.
