Sony Bend Is Seemingly Making Another Game With Multiplayer Elements, Even Though Its Last Attempt Got Canceled

Despite its last attempt being cancelled earlier this year, it looks like Days Gone developer Sony Bend is working on another game with multiplayer elements.

The last couple of years have been pretty rough for PlayStation. Despite continuing to make massive single-player hits like Spider-Man 2, God of War Ragnarok, Astro Bot, and Death Stranding 2, Sony has pushed hard for live-service games that most people frankly don't want, infamously including Concord.

The dramatic failure of Concord seemed to resonate with PlayStation pretty hard, as it quickly shifted away from some of its live-service multiplayer plans. Earlier this year, it was reported that the shift away resulted in two big games being cancelled, including a God of War spinoff from Bluepoint and an unannounced multiplayer game from Sony Bend.

We didn't know much about what Bend was previously working on, but the leaked images suggest it was a multiplayer military shooter of some kind. Bend had been working on the project for quite some time before it got cancelled and, despite it being a sign that PlayStation is regretting the live-service push, it seems that Bend is working on another game with multiplayer elements.
