We're All Pretty Sure Bethesda's New Starfield Video Has A Hidden Message In It

Starfield could probably use a Hail Mary. I don't say that to be needlessly incisive. It's just kind of... true. Despite early sales success, the game hasn't gone over well with plenty of Bethesda stalwarts. Nor did last year's Shattered Space, Starfield's first expansion, appear to alter course. Personally, I thought it was decent enough. But if anything, it might have made things worse.

Bethesda has been making it abundantly clear that there's more spacefaring content on the way, and it's even offered some tantalizing hints about what future updates might contain. But the game's second big expansion, which will presumably launch near or alongside a PS5 version in 2026, is presently an unknown factor. Er, or maybe it's an almost-unknown factor. The devs may have just given us our first cryptic hint.

Today marks Starfield's second anniversary. To commemorate the occasion, Bethesda Game Studios released a (very) brief video. At least, that's the official story. Clearly, it's been designed to induce chatter across the gaming community, because there's a hidden message packed inside this ten-second clip.

What does it say? Probably "TERRAN ARMADA". How do we know? Well, for starters, it's not that hard to suss...
