In a rather interesting twist, Paradox Interactive, the publisher behind Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2, will be refunding players on PlayStation, beginning next week on September 8. The decision comes as The Chinese Room, the title's developers, continue to work on changes for the game.
Changes that are seemingly massive enough that players will have to pre-order the game once again, should they choose to, before the game's October release.
The announcement follows backlash after it was revealed that Lasombra and Toreador, two of the game's six classes, would be locked behind a paywall. Specifically, the paywall put the pack behind either a $21.99 post-launch DLC pack, or via the game's $89.99 premium edition.
In an interview with IGN, a Paradox Interactive representative said, "What the team has done here is make these two clans accessible on day one, while still understanding that the original experience is going to be with the first four. "You hear fan feedback, and you're like, 'Okay, you know that they want these two clans. It's highly sought after.'"
