The wait for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 and Kingdom Hearts 4 has given fans loads of anxiety, but Square Enix and the FF7 Remake project director, Tetsuya Nomura, have provided some small but key updates. The games are progressing, but it may be a little bit still before we see either of them unveiled.
In an update from Square Enix (video in Japanese, partially translated by Genki on X), Nomura stated that development on FF7 Remake part 3 is progressing smoothly and "that the announcement timing has been decided and we will stick to that schedule." Nomura also reassured fans that KH4 development is progressing smoothly.
There was a four-year wait and a new console generation between FF7 Remake and FF7 Rebirth, and some fans are hoping that is not the case again. With Rebirth establishing the open world and also introducing all the game's characters, it would naturally seem the wait time between Rebirth and Part 3 would be less than the previous entries. It seems like that may end up being the case if progress continues smoothly.
For KH4, it would seem the game is still years away. Square Enix...
