Halo: The Master Chief Collection has received a surprising new update for September 2025. The latest update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection isn't the biggest patch it has ever received, but contains an important fix nonetheless.

Back in November 2014, Halo: The Master Chief Collection became notorious for having one of the most disastrous video game launches of all time. 343 Industries' efforts to bring all the existing Halo games at the time into one package proved to be too ambitious, leaving the multiplayer package completely broken. Despite this, the developer worked very hard for many years afterward to bring Halo: The Master Chief Collection up to standard, even going as far to add plenty of new content to the games themselves. It has been a remarkable turnaround, and now, over a decade later, it is undeniably the definitive way to experience the Halo games from Combat Evolved through to Halo 4.
