Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics has reached an impressive sales milestone after almost one year of release. The publisher Capcom revealed on Tuesday that the impressive retro collection of fighting games has reached one million copies sold as of August 31. No upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom games are currently planned.

A Fan Favorite Sells One Million Copies

Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics has managed to sell over one million copies after launching on the PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Xbox One, according to a Japanese press release reported by Gematsu. The initial launch was on September 12, 2024, but the Xbox One version came later on February 4. The collection includes seven games from Capcom and Marvel's history. They include:

This collection includes the definitive editions of all games, even including a cameo character from the Japanese version of Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Norimaru from the TV series Tonneruzu no Minasan no Okage deshita. All of the games are playable against online competitors and supports rollback netcode, which is a huge plus for the fighting game community.
