Final Fantasy VII Remake, Rebirth, and Part 3 Will All See Releases on the Switch 2

The reunion at hand may bring joy. It may bring fear. But let us embrace whatever it brings. For they are coming back. That’s right, Final Fantasy is coming back to Nintendo. Ironically, the game that heralded the departure from Nintendo—Final Fantasy VII—will make its return through the remake trilogy. Now, it’s important to note that these aren’t becoming console exclusives. But Final Fantasy VII Remake, sequel Rebirth, and the unnamed third entry will appear on the Switch 2.

This past weekend, Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will arrive on the Switch 2 on January 22nd, 2026. It will also arrive for Xbox Series X|S and PC. There’s no word yet on when Rebirth, which came out for the PlayStation 5 last year, will become available on these systems. But it will arrive in the near future.

And of course, the third part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy will also arrive on these systems in addition to PlayStation. However, that will likely be in the far future, with the game still in development.
