Tomb Raider fans on PlayStation consoles may be in for a special surprise in the near future, with Tomb Raider: Anniversary potentially seeing a new release on PS4 and PS5. The beloved series of adventure shooters starring the iconic Lara Croft has seen a resurgence in recent years with a plethora of remasters of classic games. 2024 saw a remaster of the original trilogy of Tomb Raider games from the PS1 with the launch of Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered, while Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered arrived earlier this year. Much like the name would suggest, Tomb Raider: Anniversary served as a celebration of the tenth anniversary of the massively popular franchise. Anniversary came as a remake of the original Tomb Raider, following globe-trotting archaeologist Lara Croft's adventures to uncover the mysterious Scion of Atlantis. While the game saw initial praise from fans and critics, its sales would not translate with Anniversary sitting as the lowest-selling main-series Tomb Raider game. A new report now suggests that Anniversary may be returning to modern consoles.
