GFK Entertainment reported on Monday that Mario Kart World retook first place in the UK games sales charts during Borderlands 4's second week of release. As of the week ending on September 20, the critically acclaimed RPG remake Trails in the Sky: 1st Chapter has launched at a low 19th place on the chart.

Mario Kart World has seemingly been selling gangbusters as the game keeps retaking first place in the UK sales charts since its June 2025 debut. It's also impressive if you consider that the Nintendo Switch 2 is an early system and doesn't have the install size of the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC userbase.
Borderlands 4 is now down to second place after one week of release, which is quite a surprise as it has been a critical success with 95% of outlets recommending the title, according to OpenCritic.
