It's common knowledge by now that online-centric sports and multiplayer games have a limited shelf life owing to factors like high server upkeep costs, license expirations, changes in ownership of publishing rights, and more. Compounding this further is the shift toward digital-only games that effectively vanish into the ether after being delisted from online storefronts, an issue that the Stop Killing Games movement aims to combat.
