More Resident Evil Requiem Leaks Tease Leon Kennedy & RE9 Timeline Details

Resident Evil Requiem continues to dazzle fans and newcomers alike, based on what we've seen of it so far. The positive reception really takes me back to the announcement of Resident Evil 7, which returned to its more horror-oriented roots after the series had continued to lean too heavily into the campy side for some.

So far, we've been privy to a lot of horrifying sequences, along with the disbelief of Grace Ashcroft, who will have to acclimate to her new environment pretty quickly as the events of the game take off. But thanks to some social posts from prominent Resident Evil leaker Dusk Golem, we have new info to chew on.

According to Dusk Golem, "most but not all" of Leon's gameplay is allegedly set in 2020, whereas Grace's story will mostly take place in 2028. Although the leaked eyepatch version of Leon has apparently been debunked, we will get a "grayed hair Leon" in this, based on Dusk Golem's leaked information. Leon's portions will potentially have more of an action focus, with "horror and atmospherics" at the forefront.

The leaker also notes that the "over-the-top stuff" like the giant Salazar statue in Resident Evil 4, as well...
