PlayStation Announces Surprise State Of Play For This Week

Sony is up to their old tricks again and has just announced a surprise State of Play stream. In case you forgot, State Of Play is essentially PlayStation's "Nintendo Direct" format, where they typically announce new games and release dates outside bigger games industry events and expos.

According to the PlayStation Blog, the stream will be 35 minutes long and will feature "reveals and news from developers around the world." There is a focus, however, as Sony notes that the stream will include "an extended look at Saros, Housemarque’s mysterious new title arriving next year."

While Sony promises new reveals and announcements, the core game being showcased this time is Saros, the next title from Housemarque. As a reminder, Housemarque is a renowned subsidiary of PlayStation Studios, having gained fame with Super Stardust HD in 2007, followed by other notable games such as Resogun and Returnal. They have since become a fixture at PlayStation.
