The Director's Cut edition of Yakuza 0 is set to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on December 8, 2025. As long-time fans likely know, this date holds special significance for the franchise, and Yakuza 0 Director's Cut will not be the only release scheduled for that day.
On September 24, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio held a special RGG Direct to announce new projects and provide updates on existing ones. One of the biggest announcements of the show was the reveal of Yakuza Kiwami 3, a remake of the 2009 game, scheduled to release in February 2026. In the meantime, fans can look forward to the enhanced edition of Yakuza 0, arriving just a few months earlier.
Yakuza 0 Director's Cut first launched on June 5 as one of the Nintendo Switch 2's debut titles. On December 8, 2025, it will leave exclusivity and become available on current-gen Xbox and PlayStation consoles, as well as PC.
