Disney Dreamlight Valley is adding two new characters in a surprise update next week. The official cozy game for all things Disney, DDV regularly releases new characters in periodic updates. These may include free patches, paid DLC, or even much bigger releases like the upcoming Wishblossom expansion.
This is the case of the former, with two free characters, Cogsworth and Lumiere, set to arrive in Disney Dreamlight Valley in an update coming October 1 (per the game's official X-formerly-Twitter). This comes as part of the Return to Beast's Castle update, which will be released for free that same day.
The Return to Beast's Castle update for DDV is coming on October 1, primarily bringing with it two new characters: Lumiere and Cogsworth. The promotional image for the update also shows off a new yellow gown, in a decidedly Belle-inspired style.
These characters will guide you as you explore more of Beast's Castle, which previously featured in an earlier realm of the base game.
