Marvel's Wolverine Release Window & Classic Villains Revealed In New Trailer

Fans just got a new look at Marvel's Wolverine, complete with an official release window and the confirmation of a few infamous villains. Insomniac first announced that it was working on a game starring Wolverine back in 2021, but there had been very little officially revealed until now.

A new trailer for Wolverine was shown during the September 2025 PlayStation State of Play, highlighting Logan and many other characters. It begins with Logan (voiced by Australian actor Liam McIntyre) narrating about how trouble always finds him, before jumping into a montage of gruesome combat. This trailer also revealed that Marvel's Wolverine will launch on PS5 in Fall 2026

Previous leaks and rumors have indicated that Marvel's Wolverine will be much gritter than past Insomniac offerings like Marvel's Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and this is readily apparent in the new trailer's gameplay footage. Logan slashes through enemies with his iconic Adamantium claws, resulting in blood and dismembered limbs flying through the air.
