Metal Gear Solid series producer Noriaki Okamura has confirmed that Master Collection Volume Two is still in the works, which hopefully means Metal Gear Solid 4 will finally leave the confines of the PS3.

Even though it looks like we're not getting a new Metal Gear Solid game any time soon, Konami has at least been keeping the series alive by re-releasing Hideo Kojima's masterpieces. Not only have we got a full-blown remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, but we also recently got a remastered collection of the first three games in the series.

Since that first collection was pointedly titled "Volume 1", it's been assumed for some time now that we'd eventually end up getting a second collection of remastered games, which would hopefully include the long-lost Metal Gear Solid 4. That second volume hasn't been mentioned in quite some time, but it appears it's still being worked on.
