"What The Hell is Going On There?": Battlefield 6 Players Are Concerned About The Game's Campaign

Battlefield 6 received a flashy trailer at yesterday's PlayStation State of Play to coincide with the release of previews for the campaign. The game's setting involves a war between the remains of NATO and a shadowy paramilitary group called the Pax Armata, which is secretly funded by disgruntled ex-NATO nations.

The brief preview of the campaign was available for press and content creators to play in recent weeks, with the embargo lifting yesterday. Our own Harry Alston was a fan, saying the campaign is "full of spectacle and challenge."

However, after seeing a few clips from content creators, fans are more skeptical. A clip from Bigfrytv was posted on Reddit by Lower_Breadfruit649, showing a squad of NPCs acting erratically.

As speculated in the comments, the behaviour of the game's NPCs appears to be tied to the player's position. When the player passes out his NPC companions, their animations stop triggering, leaving them standing lifelessly behind the player.

"Yikes, and it's already the end of September," writes Salty-Bar-1975, referencing the game's impending release date.
