Critic Reviews for Simon the Sorcerer Origins
Simon the Sorcerer: Origins is a solid return for a beloved series, and the developers at Smallthing Studios seem more than capable of carrying on these magical adventures.
Simon The Sorcerer Origins is a game which some will love, and some will drop off of. However, in a time of re-releases with an extra 'episode' of content tacked on to the end, it's nice to get a full-blown new game in an old franchise.
A remarkable return of graphic adventures in all their glory, one that sticks to the core gameplay while innovating here and there. Its difficulty might not be for everyone, but its humor certainly is.

A surprisingly faithful and inspired return: Simon the Sorcerer Origins captures the wit and charm of the original, enriched by gorgeous watercolor backdrops and challenging puzzles. A clever homage that confidently stands on its own.

Classic, delightful RPG at its best. Its a fun story and a decent challenge for those who enjoy this genre. Suitable for all ages!
The latest installment in the adventures of the wayward Szymek undoubtedly has a lot of charm. Besides its polished audio and visuals, the title offers tons of naughty humor and two gamepad control options (both of which are effective). If only the plot were more interesting and the whole thing a bit longer, it would be hard to find fault with anything.

Masochistic newcomers and experienced point-and-clickers will undoubtedly enjoy the return of Simon the Sorcerer Origins and Simon's banter, but those without experience will suffer without hints and a multitude of detailed notes.
