Nintendo of America President Doug Bowser Announces Retirement

Nintendo has revealed the upcoming retirement of Nintendo of America's President and COO Doug Bowser. The current head of the Super Mario Bros. company's American branch will leave the leadership position on December 31 and be succeeded by Devon Pritchard.

An Early Farewell Notice to Doug Bowser

Doug Bowser assumed the office back on April 15, 2019 after previous president Reggie Fils-Aimé's retirement. His tenure included the expansion of the Nintendo Switch system success and overseeing the launch of the company's latest console, the Nintendo Switch 2, earlier this year.

As part of his retirement announcement, Doug commented on how Nintendo has been a major part of his personal experience with videogames as well as how honored he felt for the position. He also pointed out the accomplishments on both the business area and providing good experiences for consumers:
