Microsoft has recently confirmed that Forza Horizon 6 will only be available on the PC and Xbox Series X/S at launch, skipping the PlayStation 5. This is terrible news for PS5 players, as many gamers expected Forza Horizon 6 to have a simultaneous release on Sony’s platform.

Forza Horizon 6 was recently announced during the Tokyo Game Show 2025, revealing Japan as its setting. While no actual gameplay for the title has been shown so far, the developers have already confirmed that the game will be set in both the rural and urban parts of Japan, taking players from “the neon lights and towering buildings of Tokyo City” to the “serenity and natural beauty of Japan’s rural and mountain areas.” The goal is to make an expansive open-world racing game that captures Japan’s unique cultural essence, and the team promises to create one of the most detailed environments in the franchise to date.
