Final Fantasy VII Remake is coming to the PlayStation 5 later this year.

During Sony's latest State of Play event, it was revealed that Final Fantasy VII Remake will release for the PlayStation 5 (via GameSpot). The game will come to the system on June 10th. The game will take advantage of the console's extra power, and will feature enhanced visuals, faster loading times, and 60 fps gameplay. Those who own Final Fantasy VII Remake on the PlayStation 4 can upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for free. There will also be a new photo mode, as well as a new difficulty for players to try out.

It was also announced that new content will be coming to Final Fantasy VII Remake. Entitled Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, the new content will introduce Yuffie into the game, as well as a new character named Sonon. Intergrade will see Yuffie and Sonon arrive in Midgar, as they try to complete a mission involving materia. Intergrade will have to purchased on its own, though there will be a $70 edition of Final Fantasy VII Remake for the PlayStation 5 that will include the add-on.

Intergrade will be making a change in the plot of Final Fantasy VII. In the original game, players did not meet Yuffie until after the main party left Midgar. She was an optional character for players to unlock, and would come with her own side-story involving her ninja clan and materia.

Final Fantasy VII Remake originally released for the PlayStation 4 last April. The game did quite well, selling over 5 million copies, and received OpenCritic's Mighty rating. The game's second episode is currently in the works, though there has been no announcement of when we can expect it to drop.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is available now for the PlayStation 4. It will release on the PlayStation 5 in June.
