Battlefield 6 publisher EA has officially revealed the date and time at which fans will be able to pre-load the shooter. After four years of no new entry in the series, Battlefield 6 will finally release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on October 10, but those who have already pre-ordered the title on their respective platform will be able to pre-load the game data from October 3.
In 2021, Battlefield 2042 launched to mostly negative reviews from players. Although the shooter received a mixed response from critics, it quickly became one of the most poorly received entries in the franchise. As such, Battlefield fans have been patiently waiting to see if EA and DICE could come back bigger and better. Thankfully, the two studios returned to the drawing board and are seemingly aiming to give fans one of the best entries yet with Battlefield 6. The game's open beta weekends last month received huge praise from players, and even became the biggest playtest in Battlefield history, surpassing Call of Duty's concurrent player count record on Steam.
