We now know which games will be free for PlayStation Plus members in the month of March.
On the PlayStation Blog, it was revealed that four games will be available through PlayStation Plus in the month of March. The titles will be available on March 2nd. The first game is Final Fantasy VII Remake, which will be available on the PlayStation 4. In Final Fantasy VII Remake, players are sent back to Midgar for this reimagining of the classic RPG. The story of Final Fantasy VII Remake covers the party's journey through Midgar, as well as their escape from the city. The game also goes deeper into the events of this section of the original game, giving gamers a deeper look at what happens in the city during their time there. Sony did note that the version of Final Fantasy VII Remake that is available through PlayStation Plus will not be eligible for the digital PlayStation 5 upgrade that is coming later this year.
The second game coming to PlayStation Plus next month is Remnant: From the Ashes, which will be available for the PlayStation 4. Remnant: From the Ashes is a third-person survival action shooter where gamers play as one of the last remnants of humanity trying to retake a world that has been overrun by interdimensional invaders. Players can drop into dynamically-generated worlds with up to two other players, scavenging for supplies and modding their equipment in order to increase their chances of survival.
The third game coming to PlayStation Plus in March is Maquette, which gamers can download for the PlayStation 5. Maquette drops players into a world in which the rules are different than our own. Solutions to the title's puzzles require gamers to twist the world recursively, as manipulating the landscape of a diorama will see those changes mirrored in the life-sized version that surrounds them.
The final title coming to PlayStation Plus next month is Farpoint, which will be downloadable for the PS VR. In Farpoint, players must master an arsenal of weapons in order to keep themselves alive on a hostile alien world. Farpoint has been optimized for the PlayStation VR Aim controller and is fully playable with a DualShock wireless controller, and lets gamers either play alone or with a friend in online co-op. Players can also test each others skills in a number of Versus game modes.
All four of March's PlayStation Plus titles will be available until April 5th.
Gamers still have the opportunity to download both of February's PlayStation Plus titles. Control: Ultimate Edition and Concrete Genie will be available to download until March 1st.
