Gearbox Software has officially introduced C4SH, the first DLC Vault Hunter coming to Borderlands 4 early next year. The first new entry in the series in six years has plenty to offer players right out the gate, but Gearbox already has more in store for Borderlands 4 players in the near future, including expansions to the character roster.
In classic Borderlands fashion, there are four unique characters to choose from in Borderlands 4's base game, each with their own unique skills and playstyles. The current selection of Vault Hunters has proven to be a hit with fans for their versatility and buildcraft potential, but Gearbox isn’t stopping there, as the studio has confirmed that two more playable characters will be added to the game as paid DLC throughout 2026.
As teased earlier this week, Gearbox lifted the veil off Borderlands 4’s first DLC character at the Tokyo Game Show. Slated to arrive in Q1 2026, C4SH is a robot that once worked as a casino dealer before switching trades and becoming a Vault Hunter, which is reflected in the dice and playing cards included in his kit.
