Development on Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 is still in progress, according to game producer Noriaki Okamura during a panel hosted by Konami at Tokyo Game Show 2025. Okamura said that, since Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 was given a number in its title, it is only natural for fans to expect a second compilation.
Originally launched in October 2023, Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 contains modern ports of the first three Metal Gear Solid titles, along with Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, and Snake's Revenge. Each featured title comes bundled with digital content that covers its story and main characters, and the compilation also includes two digital graphic novels as videos for fans to enjoy. Even though the next Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection volume is still in active development, Konami asked Metal Gear fans for their input ahead of the Tokyo Game Show via an online survey.
